I found the BEST free spyware remover, adware / malware remover.  It took some time, (11 days), yet, it took care of my spyware problem; and probably can help you with yours.

If this post can help ANYONE shorten their Spyware Horror, it is well worth my time to write it and post it.

Most spyware programs CANNOT get ALL of the crap off your computer.  There are just SO many spyware, trojans, malware, adware, virus’ etc. that come out DAILY that the spyware software developers can’t keep up … until now.

On May 11 2008, I was hit with the WORST Trojan Malware Virus Spyware thing that brought my computer DOWN to being virtually Useless!

I could only go online in safe mode.  My internet explorer was corrupted — ie6 –.  When I tried to read my email 50 popups hit my screen.  I couldn’t view any important websites — the pages came up blank. 

It was AWFUL and FRUSTRATING.

The only way to avoid the pop ups and see anything online was in safe-mode, which is NOT an optimum way to surf, believe me.

I was really mad … I had McAfee running in the background and it let this crap through! 

My first step was to try to clean my PC.  While in safe mode I googled best spyware.  I ignored the ads and tried to find forum posts.

It seemed a majority of posts advised using Spybot — which I downloaded and installed.  Spybot did find a few virus’ BUT, it made my surfing WORSE in that everything came to a complete Stall!  I do NOT recommend Spybot. (It also did something to my IE security settings — which I COULD not change back)

There were recommendations for AVG Anti-spyware. There were posts that said AVG would definitely get rid of my problems.  NOPE — didn’t work. 

Whatever was on my computer was insidious!  It had erased all of my “restore” points, so I couldn’t even restore my computer prior to the virus hit — nasty bugger!

I tried several other programs — all of which would find one or two other virus’ that were missed from individual spyware programs.  But STILL No Luck …

Still couldn’t view many web pages, still was getting massive popups (yes, I had it turned off in ie).

Finally, I found a post on a some little forum that advised using SuperAntiSpyware.  That it will get rid of pc bugs that the others don’t.

So, I headed on over to their site & downloaded the Free SuperAntispyware, installed it and let it run.

It found 54 Virus’/Trojans/Bugs that the other “big name” programs had missed!  I cleaned them off of my PC and Voila, I was surfing again!

But … OH NO!  The next morning when I tried to go online, EVERYTHING horrible was back!  The popups, the blank pages.

So, I headed over to Superantispyware and clicked on their “Support” button and initiated a support ticket.  I told them that I had used the Free version of their Spyware, found a ton of bugs, cleaned them and I am still having problems.

I received an email back from their support telling me to click on the URL (in the email) and initiate a scan on my computer so they can try to find and diagnose what bug(s) were not being killed by their anti-spyware.  This is ALL Free — you don’t find that very often.  I clicked thru and ran their PC Diagnose & updated the ticket.

Anyway, the next day, I got an answer from them regarding the diagnose scan, telling me to update my SuperSpyware program (you simply click on the button in the program interface on your computer), then to run a FULL scan of my computer.

They advised they had found several bugs on my PC and had updated SuperAntiSpyware specifically for those bugs!

I did as advised, updated the program, then ran a FULL scan.  It found 8 more Bugs … in my registry and other very hard to find places.

Once my PC was restarted, the bugs were gone and things have been BLISSFUL every since!  I went ahead and purchased the Professional SuperAntispyware — this runs in the background and gives you continuous protection — it is WELL worth the $29.95!

This whole nightmare was over 11 days from start to finish.

I’m not kidding … You won’t find a better anti-spyware program out there.  Don’t waste your time.  Use SuperAntispyware.  If it doesn’t work immediately, contact their support and they will FIND what is on YOUR PC and update their software to specifically fix YOUR PC!
